Applying for CIWB or CIW certification can be done online by registration. After registering, your webshop will receive a welcome package which includes all the necessary forms, conditions, regulations, and instructions necessary to attain ISCOW certification. After reading the forms, if you decide to continue with the process, you have to return all the forms within a month of receiving them. Should your webshop pass ISCOW approval, your certificate will be issued by a certification number. The number has to be visibly displayed on the webshop’s site.
Once you have displayed your CIW/CIWB number, you are officially recognized as a safe and secure merchant, and are internationally recognized as CIW. CIWB application processes differ from CIW processes; ask your ISCOW representative about this option.
The entire process for CIW costs 160 Euros.
If you do not meet one or more of the requirements that ISCOW demands, you cannot receive certification. Your customers can also send complaints to ISCOW if your webshop has become substandard, and ISCOW will take action.
